OpenAI, Anthropic Back $15M Math Research Initiative
The Simons Foundation has partnered with OpenAI and Anthropic on a $15 million initiative to help mathematicians evaluate AI-assisted research. OpenAI is contributing $5 million plus model access and compute; the Simons Foundation will manage the funding through an open call for proposals.
