Humanoid robots are moving from pilot projects to repeat orders. Agility Robotics says logistics giant GXO will deploy its Digit robot at two more US facilities, expanding a relationship that began at a Georgia site in 2024.
The new deployments, in Statesville, North Carolina, and Lebanon, Tennessee, are expected to begin in early 2027 using Digit 4, with a later transition to the next-generation Digit 5.
Agility also reported three additional manufacturing customers joining paid programs: a global automaker selling more than three million vehicles a year, a major automotive technology developer, and a leading consumer products manufacturer. The companies have chosen not to be named publicly.
The pipeline now spans more than 30 prospective customers across automotive, logistics, e-commerce, aerospace, defense and consumer products. Agility says it has previously disclosed more than $300 million in committed multi-year orders for Digit 5, a figure that represents potential value over time rather than current revenue.
Digit 5 is designed to work safely close to people and handle a broader range of industrial tasks. Early customer access is expected in the first half of 2027, with general availability targeted for the end of 2027.
Behind the hardware sits a growing software layer. Agility runs its fleet platform, Agility Arc, from the cloud and is building RoboFab, a 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Salem, Oregon, designed for annual production capacity of up to 10,000 robots. The wider physical AI field leans on shared models and code through platforms such as Hugging Face, and on AI coding assistants such as Cursor and OpenHands.
Agility is also preparing to go public through its planned combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the combined company trading on Nasdaq under the ticker AGLT.
